Resource Development Manager

Position Description 

The Resource Development Manger works in programs across the organization to advance it’s volunteer, fundraising and communications goals.  

 

Volunteer & Donors 

  • Grow the organization’s operating capacity and financial sustainability by identifying, retaining and cultivating new donors and volunteers organization-wide 

  • Evaluate and report on effectiveness of all donor and volunteer outreach efforts 

  • Grow volunteer and donor benefits program 

 

Events 

  • Lead the planning and execution of internal and external events  

  • Serve as the primary contact for all events and ensure sufficient staffing and volunteers for events 

  • Lead communications with event sponsors, hosts, and vendors 

  • Organize and pack event supplies and equipment 

  • Assist with event sponsorship and fundraising as requested 

  • Manage volunteers for ongoing tasks and special events; coordinate volunteer recruitment and recognition 

  • Attend local events (e.g. tabling events, community fairs, etc.) to raise Street Collective visibility in the community 

  • Prepare timely thank-you notes to sponsors, partners and key volunteers after events 

 

Marketing 

  • Manage content on all relevant social media platforms 

  • Maintain and update web site 

  • Create and distribute bi-monthly newsletter 

  • Provide content for press releases and other external communications  

 

Data Management and Administrative Support 

  • Assist with entering and tracking volunteers, donors and event participants in relevant databases 

 

Qualifications 

  • Commitment to organization’s mission and vision 

  • Self-directed, adaptable, flexible, resourceful, and creative 

  • Strong organizational skills, with keen attention to detail 

  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks in a timely fashion 

  • Capable of working with internal and external teams and partners 

  • Strong communication and presentation skills 

  • Familiarity with social media programs; comfort engaging with audiences across these platforms 

  • Previous training and/or experience in marketing, communications, fundraising, event planning, or logistics
