During April of 2022, the Street Collective plans to partner with Urban Bike Food Ministry (UBFM) to help distribute 300 bike light sets to riders in our collective networks. The goal is to increase visibility of bike riders on the road by providing head and taillight sets, in turn increasing safety for all.
We will distribute light sets to houseless persons on UBFM’s Thursday Night Burrito Ride, a weekly bicycle ride to homeless camps where volunteers hand out supplies and food. We will distribute any leftover light sets to riders along trails around the metro.
We will be fundraising to meet our goal of $1,000, which will be matched 1:1 by City Councilman and Street Collective founder, Carl Voss.
